For those that haven't read the tech section for a while ive designed and made a bolt on skid plate for the gearbox crossmember on the 99-05 GV.
so rather just make one for myself iv'e made a few with the plan to sell them.
Vit ones also available.

To fit you need to drill a M10 hole in the top skin of the crossmember. Then its all just bolt on. Takes about 5 minutes to fit.

Comes with all bolts needed to install.

Let me know via PM if you want one.

Installed pics as promised.

skid plate, accessories and tools needed for install

Drill hole in top of crossmember. There is already a hole in the botom skin. You just need to drill up through there. May need to oval top hole slightly for bolt to go through... some bolts may not be welded on perfectly square.

Use sandwich plate and screw on nylock. Only do it up finger tight untill rear clamps are in place.

Yes it looks very close but its just the camera angle. There is 20mm clearance between bolt head and tailshaft.

once in place tighten everything up and you finished.

Do you reckon you could make one that goes the full width of the cross member or perhaps I just get 2...
The leading edge of my cross member is all bent backwards and out of shape so I want to stop that from
happening again before I bash it back to straight or fit a new one.

to do that would add alot of extra weight and postage would be very expensive.

If you have to remove it to straighten it then get a bit of sheet metal welded to it. Most the hits i got on my crossmember were inthe middle. this skid plate sits slightly lower than the cross member and will be the first thing to get hit. I can get them made wider if required but it wont be much benifit. Will just add extra weight and be more difficult to attatch to the cross member.

Pm me and i can talk to you more about what you want.
