I remember seeing someone do this, and i'm sure i've asked about it before, but I want to convert my Sierra's digi clock to a voltage read out. I seem to be drawing a lot more power in my new ride, so I want to keep a better eye on my battery's condition.

I've had a search for the clock tweak but i'm coming up empty. If anyone remembers this mod, can they point me toward a link? Pleeeaase :)

Never heard of this one but I can't see why it isn't possible.
Maybe even have a switched clock/battery display?

JrZuk is the first name that springs to mind...
Put this one in the queue behind digital speedos.

A voltage read out is only going to tell you if the alternator is charging or not tho. Its not going to be much help otherwise

Awesome, thanks Mr Atari.

Just FYI if anyone ever searches for this down the track - here's the install diagram by Pezooki:

That one looks like a gauge from jaycar or something grafted into the clock.

Edit: there you go..

It would be cool if the suzuki clock could be used as the guage and was switchable back to the clock.

I think i'll get rid of the on/off switch and just run from the clock's ignition power source. Seems like a pretty straight forward mod.

I'd just stick one of these on the dash. You can get them from your local car store or jaycar for about $30odd

Clock, Stopwatch, Volt and temp meter.
