i have access to reasonably priced gas and reckon it could be fun to have a 35 or 50hp shot on my sierra. has anyone tried gas? how did it go? should i use a wet or dry system?

you're going to need 2 of the big bottles.

I've looked into this- I was concerned that with 35's I wouldn't have enough punch for long climbs. This hasn't proved to be the case for me. I looked at a 50hp shot more than that and you'd want engine work in the opinion of NOS. You need a wet setup or the car will lean out. I was looking at using a 3000rpm rpm switch to arm it and a wot switch to engage the spray. You don't want to hose an engine under 3k- the loading at tdc is too much. Bear in mind that with 60% more power an an equal increase in torque, optimal gearing is very different when on spray. I haven't looked at it since I've gone G16 because low range would be too low to use it- I'd be all over the limiter in low range 4th, but I couldn't pull high range until I was on spray. Something to bear in mind. It's a much better idea than a turbo conversion IMHO, because the engine isn't under increased load all the time, only for very short periods where needed. Steve.

i think we need to see how much gas the 1.3 can take before we get engine parts screaming their way out through the sump or block.

I have a 35 to 75hp tune able kit on the way. Should be fun with the auto. Might have to run it down the 1/4 mile and see how it goes. Under 20sec would be cool

are you going to try & do a bit of a stealth install or you're not that fussed? would be cool to have it all hidden out of sight.
