hey well today i tryed fitting my new jimnybits lift and found 2 things witch made me stop and put back together

1.the shims u get to put into the bushes one fits perfectly with the bolts with no play but the closes other one had a little play in it. still alright to use??

2. the top bush on the rear springs wont fit into the mount where its suppose to its about 2mm to big. do i cut the rubber down to fit?

I assume we're talking about the metal sleeve in the centre of a urethane control arm bush, and the bolt that goes through it. If so I think unless there's loads of play it should be fine. Pack a heap of grease in there to stop it clunking.

The mount can probably be spread a little with a pinch bar or some pipe etc. Otherwise, use a jack to force it in. The urethane will give a bit, and again smear grease on it to help it slide in.

anyhow i will try that tomorrow with alot a grease, other than them problems its relatively easy to change and the jimny bits coils a mean compared to stock

top bush on SPRING? um are we talking about the shock? If we are... I had EPIC trouble getting that mofo in the rear mounts too. had to force it in with the jack, and even that was pretty damn difficult. took about 2 hours on its own to do that.

Are they the rubber bushes that come with the shocks?

Gave my rear shock mounts a to fit mine in, it did the trick.

I didnt have any issues when changing my rear shocks :/ is it something to do with bigger lift or wht?

Just the shock bushes I think. Different brands = different bushes.

My jb shock bushes were hard to get in. I was a bit dogy nd sanded them down until they fitted.

well after hours this arvo bashing around i finally got the rear shock and springs in fingers crossed the fronts are easier

Disconnect all shocks and jack the car up and your coils should fall out.
Rear is easier then the front to put coils in.

ok well i got it in all good now but it seems to be sitting alott higher than 2 inches when flexed the brake lines are pretty tight, hey jaykay what numbers where stamped on your JB 3 inch lift?

The jimnybits 2" lift will look high till it settles down, this is my jimny when I first fitted the 2" jimnybits lift + 205/75/15 m/t.
