Just thought I'd update, replaced the valve steam seals took 7 hrs but its not too bad of a job to do no more smoke I'm one happy camper

Took the head of my 86NT, was blowing smoke on deceleration....valve stem seals OK..the pvc valve was blocked up.

The PVC Valve often gets overlooked, and they can block up pretty easily, good that you found it, just a pita that the head is off...

I've Got 2 PVC Valves on my zook One Is Blocked And The Other i Can Blow Through it And Suck ???

I Thought PCV Valves are only supposed to Be One Way Valve on most Earlier Cars??

As far as i know, yes, they are only one way, as they are meant to regulate crankcase pressure, so if it worked both ways, it cant maintain the pressure... If it is a 2nd PCV valve, and not something else, it sounds like its frucked too...

Sometimes they come good with a good clean in some petrol, the oil gunks them up.

The ones i have palyed with are just a ball bearing type non return valve, not alot to them.
