*** SOLD *** to got_bar_work , forward any parts inquiries direct to him. Wrecking a 2002 Grand Vitara that I bought for my wife couple of weeks ago. Complete car, with low kays, was in perfect mechanical condition, but I decided to scrap it and destroy the chassis number because the crossmember was all chewed out at the rear where the LCA pivots and RTA passed it and cleared it when it was repaired a year or so ago. Going to see my local MP and also will be writing to ICAC as obviously someone got bribed to clear this car. anyways back to the topic at hand. Let me know what you need, smaller items will post, or ego/smartsend, larger items pickup only. Silver in colour (Z2S) Two doors Twin air bags Wide body auto J20 A/C just regassed last week only 92000 kilometres (cluster is in the dash) Would also consider offers over $2500 as is.Also have 10 X 16"X7" GV Steel rims in VGC and a set of 5 X XL-7 alloys. ... ... ...

Let's say the rear hole is the size of the 50c piece.........all chewed out, with an oversize bolt (bush steel sleeve drilled out) and a great big washer on each end, no wonder it felt "loose" on the motorway !
I could've plated it, or even welded in a new cross-member but couldn't on-sell it as it wouldn't be the right thing to do and I strongly believe in karma, that's why I destroyed the VIN so it can never be back on the road again !

How much are you after for the steel rims? Tyre condition is irrelevant.

CAVEAT EMPTOR surely a decent chassis shop would have had that back to 100% with very little work... seems a bit drastic to wreck a car just for that. there would have to be 1000's of GQ patrols getting around that have had the front panhard rod mount crack & rewelded, hell it was a nissan recall at one stage.

Panhard rod mount is a bit different, final position is not as critical as you can always get an adjustable bar to get the diff centred relative to the body. Rear pivot for the LCA on a GV is more critical as it ultimately will affect the castor if you don't get it in exact same position and there is no other way to adjust castor on the GV (unless some one makes an offset bush). Plus who knows what else has been bodgied up on this car and whether the front rails are straight and true. To repair it properly, you would need to strip it to bare chassis and weld in a new cross-member and get the body stat sheet from Suzuki. Not worth the effort and labour cost. This is all a mute point now.

This would also make for an awesome conversion as the J20/auto is a good combination in a light Suzuki, imagine this in a Sierra !
I would also consider selling it complete as it's still in NSW rego (11 months) however this would not make me feel confortable and I would it rather not go back on the road.

What sort of centre console lid does it have, is it one with cup holders underneath? Is the drivers side sun visor nice and firm, not loose and floppy?
Cheers
