Well on the website it is marketed as a limited slip not a locker.
"The Phantom Grip Limited Slip is a conversion kit that installs into your non-lsd differential converting it into a proven and competitive limited slip differential (LSD) that enhances your traction needs. Phantom Grip's 2-way LSD will considerably improve handling in daily driven, street/strip warrior, or full race vehicle."
Sounds like a pretty nifty device, and possibly provides an option for cars that LSD manufactures don't make an LSD for. But not much good for 4wding.

Youve only got to compare the friction surface area to a proper LSD, not to mention spring forces to see these things are just a gimmick Just cause somebody says it will do something on a website doesnt mean it can

It's named the 'phantom' grip for a reason. Because you don't even know its there...

I run one in my GTi swift, and it has made it alot better for straight line launches (turbo'd). Losfer would know about them being a Redliner too. I doubt they'd be any chop in a 4wd, mine is ok on low boost around corners, but coming onto it, it will still rag one peg.
Cheers, Superduki.
