crank sensor dude, the crank sensor tells your coil pack when to fire mate, hope that sorts it out for you,

(be nice if someone can help me with my lift kit, lol)

well there aint much else between the key and the coil, assuming you checked there was power there and didnt just pull one out and go its ok

get your test light back out and start working back along the loom plugs till you find a point where you have power and fix the break

By coil pack I'm assuming you mean the ignition coil to the dizzy?

Yeah I suspected but then thought that the 89 vits would be Dizzy.

If it is coil packs, there should be constant power to the packs when ignition is switched on, it should be the black wire with the white stripe from memory, if the pack isn't firing I would chase the signal wire to the computer and make sure it isn't broken, if your crank angle sensor isn't working I would expect to see no spark at all.
There should be 3 wires on the coil pack connectors, one will be power, one will be ground and one will be signal from the ECU.

Hope that helps and I hope my memory serves!

We sorted it out, ended up being a faulty switch for a aftermarket kill switch
