I want to turbo my g13bb jimny and I found a new turbo set up for a g16b, would there be any problems putting it on my engine or would it be bad?

If this is the question you need to ask, you're not up to the task of an aftermarket turbo conversion.

I'm not installing it, just buying the kit cheap, I just don't want to buy a kit that won't work.

What do you mean kit?

The easiest and probably most important part is does a g16b exhaust manifold match a g13bb. If it fits on, then you are one step towards it "fitting". It's a small step though.

Yes, that's the sort of thing I need to know, I haven't seen it yet, but if the exhaust manifolds match and the blocks are similar enough so all the plumbing will match up then I will probably get it
If all I need is an after market ecu or a remapping then its worthwhile.

But if too much stuff wont line up then its just an expensive turbo with a manifold and plumbing that will be of no use to me.

As has been said, manifold- yes. Plumbing- not necessarily. There's front and side facing g16b inlet manifolds, but only front facing g13bb. Swapping inlet manifolds will likely mean sensor/computer changes.

All up it's going to be an expensive install in any case.

Thanks, that's about all I needed to know, if it would be feasible and cost effective.

From the sounds of it, it won't be.

Plumbing and manifolds are cheap compared to the compressor and tuning, so I don't see the position of the throttle body being a big issue really.
