My LJ has a F10A motor and box in it, is there a tag on it somewhere telling you what year it is? i found the F10a stamp on it but havent found anything else yet.
Also is there any interchangeable parts motor wise with this and anything else? Or anything in particular i should know?

the f10 would be out of a carry or a 1.0 litre zook. they are a good simple conversion from an f8 which would have been standard. the easiest (sort of) way to get a 5 speed behind a 1.0 litre is to get a maruti 4 speed box, which are basically a 1.3 box with no fifth gear and a 1.0 litre bellhousing, and transfer the guts of a 1.3 five speed into it. its a bit of work and you may find the f10 does not have adequate torque for the fifth gear.

The LJ80 came out with the F8a which is a 800cc engine not a 1 litre. The F8 and F10 share many common components.
You can source a 5 speed from a JA11 jimny ( which is a sierra with a 660cc turbo engine) or you can use a maruti 4 speed and then add the fifth gear from a 1.3 box into it. Fatzook knows this mod pretty well.

oh ok, well the motor is out of a 1lt sierra and now sits in my LJ50 thanks for the more in depth description, but i think i'll just stick with putting a 80 t'case in it for now.
