Hi has anyone got or know if this lift kit to suit a 2004 grand vitara is any good.
Thinking to buy it

looks like a yellow calmini lift. For a fraction of the price.
Never heard of it. Can't be sure about the quality of the materials, and also the shocks and springs. Might be wise to ask in european forums.

Don't know why you think it's at a fraction of the cost I emailed them for a quote and it works out to 2430 shipped to your door. I also have specs on open and closed shock lengths they would give massive droop but I reckon it's to much lift and droop for an ifs vehicle

But should be fine if it comes with lower arms. It says 2.5-3inch lift. I found it for $1700

The lower arms are copies of the calmini and the calmini arms don't correct camber or castor correctly, they are supposed to but all the reading I have done tells me that camber bolts are still required.

Also the arms don't fix the cv angle issue, yes with the diff drops the cv angle at static ride height (ie when stationary and no loaf) will be acceptable but when the suspension is at full droop and you accelerate ( ie hill climb with ruts) the cvs will be on a very bad angle and under extreme load. I think it's a recipe for broken cvs. Trust me I have researched this option and I really hoped it would be a good option. I have since come to the conclusion that a two inch lift with diff drops is about the limit of what the stock cvs will take. Again it's not the height of the lift that is the main issue, but the cv angle when articulated or at full suspension droop for you info I have included the open and closed shock lengths that show how much longer the struts and shocks are compared to say old man emu or ironman

The struts included in the fourx4art kit that is the measurements that I have posted up, you can't purchase just the shocks though, you have to purchase the full kit. Cheapest kit I can find is 1700

Because I read 830 € (roughly 1200AUD) - Ok, that's before postage, which doubles the price in the end. Calmini kits are 4000AUD delivered IIRC what I read in various recent threads - Still makes it a fraction of the price to me

You can get a Calmini kit shipped for around $1600AUD. Dunno where you got $4000 from :S

Fair enough then, my figures are wrong and/or outdated. Can't find the thread anymore but I could have sworn someone paid more than 2k for the kit, more than 800 + extra fees for delivery, was sitting at nearly 3.5k already and still not delivered. Ah well. These kits are not worth it anyway it seems ...

You can definitely land a calmini 2.5 kit from the us to Australia for between 1600-1800
