Hi All!

Long since gotten rid of my Sierra but still rooting around with Suzuki stuff. Currently putting together a frankenstien 5K for a KE70 corolla and was wondering if anyone has the M16A standard compression/piston height? Just need to know before I splash out on some new slugs.

Standard compression ratio is 11 to 1. Do you need gudgeon to crown height?

Yes please Losfer! If you know the CC volume of the dish that'd be appreciated too but it's not vital.

Unfortunately ive never had the opportunity to cc the dish and combustion chambers of m series engines . Cc'd heaps of g series engines. No matter what the end result you are trying to achieve theres 1/2 a dozen ways to increase or decrease compression ratio. In the real world you build your engine with the best available components then change the compression ratio to suit your needs afterwards.

Not wrong - decking both the block and maybe the head will be required. Thats why I'm not too fussed on CC volume, I'll just measure it when the rotating assembly is together.

Just trying to get the right piston/rod geometry, K series motors have a high compression height making them a slut to match anything up with.

Cheers Paul. Already had a look, most of the RS416 owners seem to be more interested in wheel offsets and bolt on body kits, but I'll start a thread.
