Not any real difference. The only thing I have found is i will have to put four bolts instead of two and a bit of 2mm sheet to stop eliminate the small amount of bounce in the bracket. Might even just put a small strut of 3/8 rod down a bolt head.

In the NT i could steam clean my windscreen i reckon. mine allready gets hot (50-60C) and its nowhere near that close to the headders thats all.

I ended up getting the 55AH slimline batter, wired up a socket box and stuck it to the top with vhb tape.
Charges from a waeco RAPS socket that is fixed to the back of my handbrake shroud, where the cup holder is.
Strapped it to the side of the fridge to secure it. Seems pretty good so far, but havent run it on a camping trip yet.

The battery has another strap wrapped around it, strapping it to the side of the fridge (you can barely see the strap in the pic), The battery strap goes through the battery handles and the fridge handles to try and stop it slipping out. I'm thinkng about swapping the rope handles on the battery to something stronger like cables, for a bit more strength. As far as cost goes, I think it was a touch over $350 all up. Hi guys, I have a bit of an update in regards to this thread, I was recently referred to a custom fabrication shop in Brisbane known as Buds customs, they were able to construct me a dual battery tray for a 2013 Jimny (with aircon), I don't have the battery yet but the tray is installed!! It has been designed to fit an Optima D34, but i have been looking around to see if i could find a higher capacity dedicated deep cycle battery... most that would fit this tray are about 70 Ah but I think they will be too tall ~215-225mm where as the Optima D34 was only 199mm to top of terminals... The moved the washer bottle a bit closer to the exhaust manifold so hopefully this will be okay... I know someone who had that mod done and they were saying their engine overheated long before that got too hot... Photos!

Thanks for the pics mate, I always thought it could be done.
My thoughts where to used the washer bottle mounts as you have done. But to off set the brackets towards the headlights to try and squeeze the washer bottle between the battery and the ABS, with the bottle facing the same way as you have it on the firewall.
Also;
It would be worth popping the hood after a decent drive one day and feel how hot the pumps and hoses are above the exhaust. If you're worried about it, a small piece of sheet metal between the manifold and the bottle will make a big difference.

Nice piece of fab work they did for you. The temp is not extreme as most seem to think. As long as no hoses or the resivoir itself do not touch the mainifold ect.. it will be fine. just be aware of if thereis any movement as in shake up and down of your bottle.

I would not recommend Buds Customs!
I payed Buds Customs on 8 January 2015 for this tray when told it would be 3- 4 weeks.
After many excuses and poor email responses I got a PayPal refund on 26 March 2015 after logging a PayPal dispute.
Just another take you money and have a interest free loan type of company was the impression I got with my dealings.
I would not recommend Buds Customs!
