It would seem that the outer housing for Jimny Diff centres has had at least 4 variations in the last 11 years. I'm interested to know what other ratios are available and which centres from other Suzukis are interchangeable.

The ratio that I have in my early Mark II Jimny with manual tranny is 4.09:1 (Crown = 45 teeth / Pinion = 11). When I received delivery of my replacement diff centre today it had a different shape carrier housing. I went down to the local car park and checked 3 others out. I worked out there are at least 4 variations. I also wonder how many ratio variations there are.

I'm new to the world of the inner workings of an axle and am interested to see what is interchangeable.

I also still have my old diff centre and would be interested to see if it mates with sierra axle housings etc...

Does this mean the Jimny front diff is a bit weak "1 litre size centre"

thats what all the girlies say

you're front is reverse cut so is stronger than normal 1 litre, you're axles are about the same though. and jimny's have too much front diff tube flex, hence their king pin inclination machining is different to all other solid axle zooks.

and don't get me started on all the axle, offsets and width combos you could build from zook parts............
