Did the g13bb in Jimny come with a crank position sensor? I ask because all of the g13bb motors in United States had one, but our version of the Jimny got the axe in 1996. When i look at G13bb oil pans on AU ebay they don't have a hole for the crank position sensor.

G13bb's don't have the crank position sensor.

If you need a rwd pan with a crank position sensor I believe late x-90's and GV 1.6's work. I have seen a late efi vitara (circa 1997 or thereabouts) with a crank sensor sump but no sensor installed. Otherwise it's a cut and shut job

The 1.6 pans fit. But when i bolted it up it had clearance issues with the front axles. My Samurai is almost stock height, just a set of OME springs.

Do your g13bb have a distributor? It doesn't seem like the cam position sensor alone would have enough resolution to do coil packs, even wasted spark.

bb has a camshaft position sensor.
Coil pack balenos have both cam and crank.

Sounds like you're going to need to cut and shut a pan.

Maybe I'm a bit slow, but you're saying that g13bb have a cam position sensor, no crank, and coil packs?

I have a modified pan. I've had it off twice now due to leaks, but I think I have it on leak free this time....

Correct. Although as has been pointed out it seems that some (all?) convertible jimny's, which were made by Santana in Spain, are g13bb's with both.

Convertibles are rare here however.
