The PCD Adapter/Spacer idea won't work with the Sierra hubs. They have a centre bore of 78mm, which won't clear the bolts retaning the rear drums or the mounting boss for the Free Wheeling Hub. You're going to have to go with a custom narrowed rear diff, and a tube or beam front axle with Mustang discs.

Sounds like going RWD is gonna be a bitch...keen to see how you go.

That said, keeping mine 4WD, then engine/box swap has been a just as easy as any car.

Was thinking of a 2wd slammed GV with one of the supercharged Holden V6s.... would be a fun. Easy enough to drop the front diff & other mods.

You could just cut and shut with a larger diameter tube, get rid of the pumpkin altogether.

They had Rwd jimnys/ sierras in Indonesia as well and most probably the rest of Asia I'd say. Could be a bit cheaper and easier to find than the states.

Man this little 1.3 drinks the fuel ! Maybe cause I have to ring it's neck to get around. I might pull the carby and see what's going on.

It's worth pointing out that that is NT width- it's from a 660 jimmy which run no flares to comply with Kei class rules.

US sourced 2wd samurai front axles will be WT width.

Which could be useful if you wanted to run 8" front rims with massive offset for sic looks mate, or if you're a fan of the narrow fronted Drag Car/Funny Car looks with pizza cutter wheels.
